The Young Aquaculture Society (YAS) is providing one lucky winner the opportunity to attend Aquaculture UK – in collaboration with the Institute of Aquaculture and Aquaculture UK.

Founded by Andrew Richardson, Technical & Standards Manager here at Salmon Scotland, YAS is a collaborative free-to-join network which connects young people with an interest in the UK aquaculture industry.

To encourage new members to sign up, YAS are running an exciting competition for those who are part of the group .

Joining is free and takes just two minutes. Members will gain access to a growing network of young professionals and stay informed about future events and opportunities.

The Prize: Attending the leading UK Aquaculture Conference

Winning the prize will help to create a memorable trip to Aquaculture UK for one early career professional.

The Winner...

  • will be highlighted at the YAS launch event in collaboration with Salmon Scotland on the 14th in front of industry leaders

  • will receive paid accommodation on the night of 14th

  • will receive up to £200 of travel expenses reimbursed to get them to and from the event.

There will also be prizes available for a 2nd and 3rd place runner ups!

The competition is simple: Spot a challenge or a problem and propose a solution!

The challenge you solve could be out on a farm, at your hatchery, in your lab, or something digital! As long as it relates to the Aquaculture ecosystem in the UK, it's relevant and YAS want to see your solutions!
