Mowi Scotland are the UK’s largest supplier of farm raised salmon.

With aquaculture transofmring the seafood industry, Mowi is playing an important role in leading the blue revolution. The company employs over 1,500 people across Scotland, helping to raise to raise nutritious salmon in the cold and clear waters of the Highlands.

With 48 farms that produce over 68,000 tonnes of salmon annually, Mowi make a large contribution of the UK’s most-valued food export, which is enjoyed by customers around the world, and thanks to their world-leading, innovative and sustainable approach, over 6 million Mowi meals are enjoyed globally each day.

Western Isles salmon farmers rescue angler

A four-man team of Mowi salmon farmers came to the rescue of 53-year-old Skye resident, Domhnall MacLennan's boat capsized in frigid waters off the Isle of Skye earlier on Wednesday 5th April. Mr MacLennan was twenty minutes into a solo angling trip in the waters off Cheesebay, North Uist, when the swell picked up and and caused his 10ft dinghy to become swamped with water and capsize.
